[edit] Abbadon the Despoiler

Abbadon is a large Mercury dragon who was charged with guarding a great artifact for the Dragon Dominion. Upon the successful completion of his training, he was given his weapon of choice, a powerful two handed axe and was sent out into the world to forge his own path. When he joined up with another red dragon by the name of Kutsu, they both decided to venture into uncharted territory. During this time, Abbadon gained his true name by corrupting a powerful cleansed site with his mercury poison. This putrid disease on the land turned the site into a graveyard of undead and pestilence.

After leaving his mark on the world, Abbadon joined in the fight for good seeing his destruction leave a permanent nesting ground for evil. At this time, he transformed himself into a humanoid Knight who attempted to gain forgiveness for his past sins. However, because of his vile act, he would forever be marked as unforgivable.

He continued to adventure with a group of travelers on a quest, but he could never shake this feeling of guilt. Eventually, after the transformation of Enna Elios, Abbadon became corrupted with remorse and lead a life of solitude. He left his party in search for some form of repentance but only found more nepotism. The pain degenerated his soul and ultimately, his body followed suit, becoming what his mind feared; a draconic Death Knight.

Abbadon the Despoiler currently roams the mountains of Metalus near the Dragon Dominion. His corruption spreads every day as he slips further and further into madness. The insanity drives him to further kill and pillage the very city he grew up in.

[edit] Enna Elios

Before transcending into the deep dark of the unknown, Enna Elios served under the goddess of Nature, Melia. She was very formidable with a bow, so good in fact, that the goddess herself gave Enna a bow that could turn any arrow into elemental damage. She could use this bow to help keep the forces of the elements in tact. However, she soon had to be called away from her homeland of Sylvan and join forces with some unlikely heroes to destroy a rising threat to the southwest.

Enna (Pre-Demon)
Enna (Pre-Demon)

Upon arriving at Crescent Island, she was grouped with Abaddon the Despoiler, Kutsu, Heijin Dado, and Senarion. The five heroes sent out into the Crystal Desert in hopes of reaching the Shades Cavern.

Reaching the cave was no feat, as the heroes battled ankegs, flying sand drakes, and even the feared Copper Dragon that haunts the desert. The cavern itself was filled with dark energies, it was home to the God of darkness and chaos; Shade. An unknown force had corrupted the caverns. It waned on the heroes’ mental stability, causing hallucinations, moments of delusional behavior, and the very draining of their souls. Before all was lost for the group, they reached the throne room of Shade. What they discovered was not the God, but a decrepit undead-demon form of him.

The battle began and it seemed the group was on the losing end, they were doing battle with a god, more importantly, with a corrupted god with unholy strength. The group knew they did not stand a chance, however, there was a sliver of hope, a chance. Enna sacrificed herself to destroy the god, and in doing so, caused all that corruption to overwhelm her soul. In a bright flash, the creature was destroyed however, amidst the rubble, an even greater foe rose up from the dust and ashes.

Enna had been transformed; from her once beautiful self into a horrific demon with the same stunning beauty. It was like looking at a city being devoured by a plague and somehow finding peace and beauty in it. With her sacrifice though, the group was able to escape through a singularity that opened.

With her new found power and corrupted mind, she returned to the Dryad’s home palace and set her village a blaze. Enna watched as her childhood town became an inferno, the screams and crying of children and entire families did not even make her shed a tear. The forces that now had her soul could not let her show emotion. She proceeded to kill, terrorize, and pillage without care. Eventually, when her reign of nightmares fleeted her, she caused a massive piece of land to rise from the ground. There, the crater was filled with the earth’s magma and she called in many demons to guard the lake.

Atop the floating mass, she built her palace; The Burning Fortress. It is a colossal multi dimensional castle with bizarre floors, winding stairs, and corrupted foes. However, even with the chaotic design, there still remains a path to the top floor. In this room, her throne room, Enna Elios sits. On one side of her, a magnificent and stunning crystal dragon, on her other side, the corrupted demonic being of Shade, now resurrected and fully ready to serve its master. She sits quietly within her fortress, awaiting the next group of challengers to test her might.

[edit] Feiyre

Feiyre is a mystic elf and a Master Psionicist, whose purpose in life was to help create and shape the world around her. She initially joined the world of the psyche from a very young age. She showed promising ability in manipulating the universe with uncanny logic and reason. Her early path in life lead her to adventure with Rhehudio. The things she did were small, meaningless tasks for the kingdom of Dawn Iri. Body guarding was not what she wanted in life. She wanted to explore and see the world outside the human city.

She did just that when an opportunity for her and Rhehudio to explore a newly risen island just off the coast of Ienbur, now a festering pit of Kobolds. While plundering, Feiyre slipped and fell into a long and cavernous hole. She fell for what seemed like miles and suddenly was jerked to a dead stop. The whiplash caused an extreme pain in her head and suddenly a flood of memories came cramming themselves into her brain. She was unable to stop the emotion and overwhelming overload of thoughts.

The ordeal left her with a massive nosebleed and several hours of weeping for what she saw. She had witnessed the end of the world. The great apocalypse of men, creatures, and life as a whole flashed before her eyes. Each moment passed slowly, as destruction laid waste to the continents. What had caused the world to be thrown into such chaos? She set it her goal to find out.

Thinking that she was dead, Feiyre was free from her bonds of service from Dawn Iri. She left the cave, bruised, bloody, and exhausted. She had no choice but to head for the city of Ienbur where she could rest up and possibly learn a thing or two about her visions. Her journey through the city was fruitless and only wrought small clues dealing with the true nature of Mana and the universe. However her skills in the psionics were developing at a rapid rate. She was performing things with no training in the powers. Even other master psions in the city were amazed at her growth of spirit.

Taking an airship to Sylphin's Sky Palace, she was able to acquire useful knowledge about the end. She also learned that this vision can be changed, that nothing is set in stone, not even destiny. Learning this, she headed out, thanking the lord of the wind, and continued her development in the mind. Her vision lead her to the battlegrounds of the eight beasts on the upper continent. It is there that the apocalyptic battle will take place. It is there she continues to develop her abilities further.

[edit] Heijin Dado

Heijin is a legendary human Rouge who started as a small time thief in the city of Alexia. He made his living by stealing small trinkets and doodads and selling them back to the owners at a high price. In his early years as an adventurer, he stayed within the city walls, pillaging houses and living in the gutters of society. He eventually grew the nerve to steal from a very well respected museum as they received a very powerful artifact. The artifact was said to grant those who used it eternal life; if they could figure out how to unlock its powers. Heijin figured he could use that device to pull himself out of the sewers and finally make something of himself.

All did not go well for him. Instead, he wound up in jail, failing to disarm a series of magical traps that were way beyond his comprehension. The terms of his release were to complete a mission for the kingdom of Alexia and in return, his debt would be forgiven and he would not be put to death. He had no choice but to take such an offer. The quest that he was to undertake involved the God of Chaos and to reason with the deity to unmask the cloak of darkness that was covering the hovel town of Igil.

The town of Fire Elves had been punished for quite some time for trying to defile the Lord's cavern. The worshipers of Shade contended that they had been punished enough for their sins but the God would not let up. Eventually, to avoid any further communication, the lord locked himself into his main chamber and forced his disciples out. No one could gain entrance to the cave except through a magical amulet held by one of Heijin's companions, Kutsu.

Using the amulet, the massive black barrier that blocked the entrance crumbled into dust and they attempted to negotiate with the Dark Lord. All did not end well and Enna sacrificed herself to save Heijin and the others. The blast that was created rocked all the planes of existence and opened a large wormhole that sent Heijin and the others through a hellstorm and eventually back into the material plane.

Heijin had ended up back in the town of Alexia. With the darkness lifted from the town of Igil, he was released however his feelings for what Enna had done lead him to further discover what she had become. He could not let her destroy the world. He could not let her continue to plague the lands as she so pleasurably did. From then, Heijin mastered his techniques and one day intends to face Enna and end her reign.

[edit] Kutsu

Kutsu is Abbadon's buddy in life. Once a peaceful red dragon, he used his powers to help protect and lead small squads of dragons in the Dragon Dominion army. His specialty was bombing raids against buildings and he learned to master his flyby attacks. On one particular bombing run, a large fireball shot from the mouth of kutsu smashed into the side of an already unstable building. The resulting blast caused the entire wall of the building to crumble and revealed a trove of treasures.

The treasure was a splendid spoil of war that the powerful red dragon greedily shared with no one. Instead he hoarded the treasure into a cave off of Metalus except for one amulet which seemed to radiate a very dark energy. He could use this amulet to turn his fiery red scales into dark, black, and ashy scales that cause translucent purple wisps of chaos energy to spiral off kutsu. Showing his friend, Abbadon, the two sent out to use this power for some fun. They gave up their lives in the Dragon Dominion and headed out into the world.

On the icy plains of the Crystalline Snowlands, the two dragons found themselves plundering an ancient holy site. For once, Kutsu allowed Abbadon to use the amulet. Abbadon's breath weapon turned into a putrid waterfall of mercury that poisoned the ground. The very earth became corrupted and pulsed a great evil. This sight caused the mercury dragon to immediately stop using the amulet and the two dragons left the site.

The power caused by this amulet made Kutsu figure out what exactly this amulet truly was. In the port town of Tamman, the two dragons discovered that the amulet was a fragment of the Dark Lord and that the amulet should be returned to him as it waned and called for the God. They set out for Crescent Island and the city of Alexia.

The two learned that the amulet could destroy a barrier that had sealed the Dark Lord in so joined a small group of adventurers to solve this problem. Upon the destruction of the barrier, the amulet disintegrated and in the final chamber with Enna's sacrifice, the singularity threw Kutsu into the large and winding cavers underneath Lune's Pyramid where he escaped with the Goddesses' help and returned to the Dragon Dominion.

Kutsu discovered about Abbadon and his mental state. Upon confronting him, Kutsu couldn't convince Abbadon to stop his madness. Instead, Kutsu sent out to find a cure for his mental instability. He still searches every town, hoping to save his friend.

[edit] Rhehudio

Rhehudio is a human and a dual long sword wielding master. He specialized in nothing but long swords and long sword training. He became so infused with long swords that he eventually fused an intelligence into his weapon. This link caused his weapons to have personalities, evolving from the eight elements of mana. He focused the energy into two types: a flaming sword that spewed lava and the other a frozen chunk of ice that swirled with crystals.

His mastery lead him to be seen by the army of Dawn Iri. As a threat, he and his town was enslaved and forced into service for the city. He had completed one espionage mission for the city and he had enough. Rhehudio valued this freedom over all, even to the length of hurting himself to prove to his captives that he could take whatever punishment they decided to dish out. The city decided to chained him onto a boat and send him off so that his mental state could be "rehabilitated".

On his way there, he broke his wrist in order to free himself from his shackles. With a busted arm, he still managed to obtain his equipment and with his flameless sword, lit the boat on fire save a little piece of wood which he froze and rode it to shore.

Now, back at the capital of Dawn Iri, he conspired to learn why the army was enslaving creatures to do service. A large gate opened to the south that was spewing demons from it. Atop the rift floated an island with a small keep on it. The army was amidst attacking the base and was running low on recruits. As an act of revenge, he plotted to gain access to the demon's keep.

A large Cornugon fueled the gate with demons and as the highest Dread Lord, commanded the armies to attack the city. Even with his impressive forces, he found Rhehudio to be of great use with his mastery of the arts and his hatred for Dawn Iri. The revenge Rhehudio felt filled his soul with massive anger. It helped him develop some dark arts that he would use against the city. The Demon gave him command of his strongest warriors and wanted him to lead the assault against Yagir Wolf and Dawn Iri.

Upon entering the city after a onslaught of battles, Rhehudio discovered the king had been fueling his own army with creatures of unimaginable power through a colossal void deep within the castle. Sets of crystals powered the rift and they were quickly destroyed. The explosion rocked the city as earthquakes shook the continent.

The torrent shut down the Demon's rift and he was forced to retreat off the material plane. Rhehudio emerged from the debris unscathed. However time and space around him seemed to bend and twist. One such blink of chaos slipped Rhehudio into a sub-space like state and phased him out of the material plane at random intervals. The twisting nether around him grew constantly bigger, and the temporal disturbances grew.

Seeing no such relief, he gave into the bending space/time. A large portal opened up near him and pulled everything around it through time itself. No one is sure where the disturbance took him. Some say records of him show up in the past now, however others say they have visions of him returning in the future.

[edit] Senarion

Senarion is a warlord elf who specialized in the destructive powers of Black Magic and leadership. His charisma is unmatched and is only followed by his impressive ability to lead. As one of Alexia's top generals, he was charged with the task of releasing the seal of darkness over the fire elven town of Igil. He was to choose knights and other adventurers who would be willing to take up such a task in defending a God.

The journey to the Cavern was wrought with numerous problems. The worst was the confrontation of a Dragon and its lair. Seeing a massive hole in the middle of the desert, near the plains of Alexia, drove Senarion to attack the dragon in hopes of having it retreat away from his city.

As Senarion approached the hole, atop his steed, he dismounted only to peer into the hole and see it span deep into the earth. A closer look revealed a small twinkle of light in the dark. As he stared, the light moved, and blinked in and out. Before it was too late, Senarion turned back to the party and began to run towards them.

A massive claw arose from the hole. With one large thump, the hand of the dragon crushed his horse and within that same instance, a set of large fin-like wings expanded and bronze glistened in the sun. Six legs follows its two claws and it was shortly followed by a loud roar and a colossal spray of rocks and granite. As the dragon exited the hole completely, it stared down the group. Pieces of copper and brass metals reflected the desert sun above.

Enraged over the death of his horse, Senarion sent jagged pieces of stone and rock upwards underneath the creature. The piercing blow was completely ignored by the dragon and it began its charge. Remembering his elements, Senarion quickly threw out a large piece of wood and caused it to splinter and explode around the dragon. The shrapnel of wood debilitated the dragon and it slumped over for a time. The rest of the group used that opportunity to attack the creature and quickly defeated it shortly after.

With the defeat of the dragon the group ventured onwards only to be locked again in combat as a wave of blood thirsty kobolds set up a outpost near the base of the Cavern. While a smaller threat than the dragon, it still posed an obstacle. To make quick work of the shambled and low fortified camp, Senarion hopped on Kutsu's back and began a flyby attack. Senarion called down a firestorm onto the camp as Kutsu shot many fireballs into the center. The hellstorm completely consumed the camp and all that remained were cinders and corpses.

After the transformation of Enna, Senarion woke up back in Alexia, bruised and bloodied. A strand of traders found him in the middle of the desert, unconscious and returned him to the city. Thankful, Senarion paid the traders a handsome reward and returned to the council of Alexia after his rest.

With the news of Enna and her crimes against the world, Senarion now spends his time training recruits and bolstering the Alexia forces.
