A quick swing allows a character to trade in his damage from weapons (magical bonuses and other factors that aren’t the character’s base strike do not apply and cannot be used) in for a bonus to strike that turn at a 1:1 ratio. With this a character can take a –2 to damage and add +2 to strike to his attack. At level 1 the character can only trade in up to 5 of his damage for strike bonuses. This increases by +2 per level.
