Resurrection and Revival
From LiMaWiki
There are a couple of different spells that can revive a character when their HP drops below –10. Each causes severe damage to the soul depending on the time that has passed since the character has died. Because the travel between the spirit world and the mortal world is very painful to the soul and the body, no matter what spell is used or the time dead, ill effect will happen. If characters have less than what is reduced, the ability is set to 1 and doesn’t go any lower. When a character dies, they gain a “Dead Level”. They range from 1-4 depending on the time dead. The level is important because in order to revive the character, the spell used must either match or beat the “Dead Level”. Also, each level has a minimum concentration that the caster must add into his spell concentration in order to revive the target.
The following is the list for time dead, base concentration, and the ill effect that is caused when revived.
| Time | Level | Base | Ill Effect |
| 1 turn - 12 hours | 1 | 2 turns | None |
| 12 hours - 1 day | 2 | 2 hours | -1 STR and AGI |
| 1 day - 1 year | 3 | 12 hours | -5 STR and AGI, -3 CON |
| 1 year - Beyond | 4 | 2 weeks | -20 STR and AGI, -10 CON and WIL |
Spells have a base concentration that the character must do in order to cast the spell on the target. All spells require the caster to touch the target when the concentration is over. However, a caster can call the aid on other casters to divide the concentration. A group of casters can divide the total concentration up between them equally. Each character must spend the PE cost separately though and must remain in that group within a 40’ radius of each caster or else their bonus doesn’t add in. Each spell has a maximum “Dead Level” that it can affect.
After the spell is cast and the concentration is over, the dead target must make a WIL DC save. If the target fails, the spell fails and must be recast. The save is made BEFORE the ill effects are applied. When revived, the character gains a percentage back of their maximum HP AFTER the ill effects are applied.

Characters who are revived at level 1 or 2 do not have to rest and can continue their activity as normal. Levels 3 and 4 require the character to rest for several weeks (3d4) before becoming active again. Failure can result in even more lost of ability.
