Talk:Ultimate Necromancer
From LiMaWiki
As I said at the forums at wizards.com, I wanted an alternate lvl 20 ability for the Blood King. The only ideas I have to offer are the abilities of this Warcraft 3: TFT hero for a specific map here. http://www.dota-allstars.com/hero/1427/index.html If that does work try this. http://www.dota-allstars.com/hero/ (It's the hero named "Bloodseeker".) --[[1]]
I just have to say it, you have the best name ever! --Tombowings 01:53, June 12, 2007 (UTC)
I used to play DotA a little bit. Bloodseeker is hard to put in DnD. Rupture (damage per squares moved) sounds more like general spell for other kinds of necromancer, Rage too. Thirst - I need to think about it. And Juice of Life is so similiar to Blood Bath. --SKRP 15:31, June 12, 2007 (UTC)
Isn't the Awaken Blood ability a bit weak? 6 Con damage to call a CR 10 creature? I like the flavour, but the crunch seems to be nonoptimal. I'll see if I get an idea...
I buff this ability. What you think about it now? --SKRP 13:20, January 19, 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Necromancers vs. Undead
I was in a game yesterday where we were using the ultimate classes, and we noticed something rather weird. The Necromancer is pretty much a master of life and death, and knows the undead inside out. However, when it comes to actually fighting AGAINST the undead, it's rather at a loss. Now, this could have a lot to do with the player not knowing what she was doing (maybe forgetting a few spells?), as she is new, but it strikes me that it may make sense for both good and evil necromancers to be capable of rebuking/controlling undead. It gives them a certain pool of undead to control that way anyhow. I'm not sure though. Any thoughts? --Mauver 18:55, August 14, 2008 (UTC)
I agree. Rebuke Undead would be a very good ability for them to have, very fitting, flavorful. --Tatsel_Ganav 21:43, August 04, 2009 (UTC)
