Scoundrels have the following game statistics.

  • Abilities:
  • Alignment: Any.
  • Hit Points per Level: 1d6 + Con modifier.
  • Hit points are maximized at 1st character level.
  • Skill Points per Level: 6 + Int modifier.
  • Skill points are multiplied by 4 at 1st character level.

Class Skills: The scoundrel's class skills (and the key ability for each skill) are Appraise (Int), Balance (Dex), Bluff (Cha), Climb (Str), Craft (Int), Decipher Script (Int), Diplomacy (Cha), Disable Device (Int), Disguise (Cha), Escape Artist (Dex), Forgery (Int), Gather Information (Cha), Hide (Dex), Intimidate (Cha), Jump (Str), Knowledge (local) (Int), Listen (Wis), Move Silently (Dex), Open Lock (Dex), Perform (Cha), Profession (Wis), Search (Int), Sense Motive (Wis), Sleight of Hand (Dex), Spot (Wis), Swim (Str), Tumble (Dex), Use Magic Device (Cha), and Use Rope (Dex)

Weapon and Armor Proficiency: A scoundrel is proficient with all simple weapons and light armor.

Harmless (Ex): A scoundrel is treated as his Challenge Rating was lower by 1 for the purposes of him gaining experience and for others gaining experience for defeating the scoundrel. His “virtual CR” is further reduced by 1 at 5th and 9th level.

Bonus Trick (Ex): A scoundrel gains a bonus Skill Trick for which he meets the prerequisite. These bonus tricks do no cost skill points and do not count against your maximum number of skill tricks available (see Complete Scoundrel).

Sneak Attack (Ex): As the rogue ability.

Luck Re-roll (Ex): Re-roll a single dice roll once per day. Must take the second result even if it's worse than the first. Gain an additional use per day at 7th. (If you have access to -Luck feats- in your campagin, then a scoundrel instead gains any single Luck feat as a bonus feat in addition to luck re-roll granted by such feats. He must still meet the prerequisites.)

Skill Focus (Ex): A scoundrel gains Skill Focus as a bonus feat.

Favorite Trick (Ex): A scoundrel chooses one skill trick he knows that he can perform only once per encounter. He can now use that trick one additional time per encounter. You can't choose the same skill trick more then once.

Tricky Defence (Ex): A scoundrel have mastered incorporating tricks into his personal defenses, In any round when he performs a skill trick, he gains a +1 competence bonus on saving throws until the start of his next turn.
